Muffin masterclass for munchkins!

Boring school holiday programs are gone forever with The Flying Muffin's successful launch of Muffin Masterclasses for school children. A new generation of 'masterchefs' were unleashed in a flurry of flour and a sea of sweets, as groups of children were trained in the art of muffin-making.
In just two hours, the kids were able to create and decorate their own batch of delicious Flying Muffins, participate in a colouring competition and make their own beautiful fresh fruit and vegetable juices.
Due to the overwhelming response, the Muffin Masterclass for Munchkins will be a recurring event each school holidays in Numurkah!

Mothers Day with Ewan McGregor

Mother's day - we all know its coming up so its time to start thinking about how we are going to celebrate. Do we go for the embroidered hanky set or a shiny new blender to show our appreciation? As a mother of two, I say to this - NO WAY! Do I want a new appliance to aid with never-ending family meal preparations- NO! Do I want a smooshy floral card in pastel colours and a corny poem - NO! Tell you what I do want for Mothers Day - I WANT PAMPERING, DARLINGS, PAMPERING! I want to loll about in bed all morning with intermittent food, and foot massages (preferably delivered by Ewan McGregor in swimming trunks) while my family do all the housework.
Seeing as there aren't enough Ewan McGregors to go round, and I already have him booked for that day, we at The Flying Muffin have come up with an equally gorgeous treat that all you other mums will enjoy.

Nathans' joke of the week.

Two Muffins were baking in the oven. The first muffin said to the second muffin, "its getting a bit hot in here, I think we're going to burn!". The second muffin says to the first muffin, "AAAAAAGGGHHHHHHH its a talking muffin!!!!!".

Life gets busy!

Life in at The Flying Muffin has certainly been exciting over the last couple of months. After a very succesful day at the Tastes of Tatura food and wine festival, we have been inundated with new orders. For the first time ever, our cool room is looking pretty empty and we've had to bake flat out to restock.
We have also been trialing a new concept in morning tea for local businesses. Two weeks ago we declared it 'Flying Muffin Friday' and the main street of Numurkah was visited by a giant novelty raspberry and white chocolate flying muffin and boxes of our beautiful muffins for morning tea. The response from the workers of Numurkah was so positive that we have decided to make it a regular event here and in other townships around the Goulburn Valley. The main street of Nathalia had their first expereince of a Flying Muffin morning tea this week, with lots of very positive feedback from the workers. Be on the lookout for the giant Flying Muffin bringing a yummy morning tea to a business near you!
